Services for John S. Foy, 67, of Thomasville are 10:00 am, Thursday, June 17, 2010 at Allen & Allen Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor Mack Luke will officiate and interment will be in Big Creek Cemetery. Mr. Foy passed away June 13, 2010 at Archbold Hospital. Born March 10, 1943 in Coolidge, he was the son of the late Ben H. Foy and Rubie Sherrod Foy. He was married to Barbara Horanzy Foy, who survives. Mr. Foy was a member of Merrillville Baptist Church and was a veteran of the United States Army, where he served 2 tours in Vietnam, was a Drill Sergeant and received the Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Purple Heart Medal, Bronze Star Medal, Army commendation Medal, Combat Infantryman Badge, Good Conduct Medal, 1 Year Driver Badge, Expert Badge for .45 caliber pistol and Expert Badge for M-16 rifle. He owned Foy Air Conditioning & Heating and received an Associates degree in Business from ABAC. Other survivors include children, Debbie Kelley of Thomasville, Steven B. Kelley and wife Kerri of Thomasville, James P. Kelley and wife Irene of Thomasville, Hope Foy Jordan and husband Robert of Glen St. Mary, Fl, Carol Kelley Goodson of Thomasville; grandchildren, Brittanney & Darren Mills, Erin & Will Smeltzer, Addison Kelley, Kinsey Kelley, Carsyn Kelley, Seleta Wickham & Jeff, Jeffery Kelley, Joshua Kelley, Brennan Goodson, Leah Goodson, Ashley Childree, Kaley Waldron, Danielle Waldron and Alexander Joel Kelley; 9 great grandchildren; brother & sisters, Ray & Sabra Foy of Thomasville, Margie & Stanley Martin of Pavo and Imogene Webber of Chapin, SC. He was preceded in death by children, Tracy Joel Kelley and Shawn Samuel Foy; brother, Tommy Foy. The family will receive friends 6-8 pm, Wednesday, June 16, 2010 at Allen & Allen Funeral Home.
