John “Buddy” Ward, born on June 5, 1953, in Thomasville, Georgia, to the parents of John and Mary Grace Taylor Ward. Buddy was called home on February 26, 2025.
He is survived by his son Jody (Veronica) Ward of Dothan, AL, sister Darlene (Travis) Davis of Ochlocknee, GA, sister Rosalyn West of Pelham, GA, his grandchildren John Austin of Huntsville, AL, Jacob Adam of Lexington, KY, Jodie Alexandria of Columbus, GA, and his beloved “fur baby” Gracie.
He is preceded in death by his parents John and Mary Grace Taylor Ward, son John “Buddy” Ward Jr., grandson John Eugene, brother Robert Ward, and sister Mary Frances Bracewell.
Mr. Ward will be cremated and placed in Laurel Hill Cemetery with his parents and son. A celebration of life will be held at a later date and time by the family.
