John Jack Putnam Clement

Services for John Putnam Clement Jack of Thomasville are at 10:30AM on Thursday, February 10, 2005 at First United Methodist Church in Thomasville, GA. The Rev. Leigh Ann Raynor and the Rev. Bob Dixon will officiate and interment will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Mr. Clement died February 6, 2005 at 72 years of age at Archbold Memorial Hospital. A native of western New York he was born April 9, 1932 in Jamestown, NY, the son of the late John I. and Annette Clement. He graduated from Gowanda High School in Gowanda, NY and was a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps, serving during the Korean War conflict. After his military service, he graduated from Alfred State S. U. N. Y. with a degree in Horticulture. All his working life was spent in South Florida where he retired as Director of Public Works for the City of Lauderhill, FL., he and his wife chose Thomasville, GA. for retirement in 1996. He loved his ?adopted? city and the tall pine trees. He was a member and past member of the board of Trustees of First United Methodist Church in Thomasville. He was a member of the American Legion and was a Mason. Survivors include his loving wife, Norma Clement, daughter, Julie Fredrickson and grandchildren, Lori and Jim of Alpharetta, GA, son, John Stark Clement of Laguna Hills, CA., brother, Rod Clement of Thomasville, brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Ray and Rosemary Stark of New Bern, NC and many dear friends. Memorials may be made to The Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation and the Thomas County Food Bank. The family will receive friends at the funeral home, Tuesday, February 8, 2005 from 7:00PM to 9:00PM.
