Services for Johnny Odell Carter, 99, of Thomasville will be Monday, October 14, 2013 at 11:00AM at Northwoods Church of God where he was a charter member. The Rev. David Ellis and the Rev. Damien Salazar will officiate and interment will be in Laurel Hill Cemetery. Mr. Carter died October 11, 2013 at Camellia Gardens of Life Care. Born February 14, 1914 in Grady County, GA, he was the son of the late Lee and Alma Rich Carter. He was married to Ada Beatrice Whitley Carter who preceded him in death. Mr. Carter was a retired owner of Deluxe Dry Cleaners and from the Grocery Business. He loved to fish, garden, travel and he loved the mountains. The thing to be remembered most about him was he was always helping someone in need. He was a giver. Survivors include daughter, Roberta Carter Sinclair of Pavo, GA, son, Vonleih Carter of Thomasville, seven grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, eighteen great great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by son, Jimmy Lee Carter, grandson, Randy Delno Sinclair, sisters, Rossie Palmer, Littie Mae Thomas, brothers, Anderson Carter, Daniel Carter, Otis Carter and J. N. Carter. The family will receive friends from 5-7PM on Sunday at Allen & Allen Funeral Home. Visitors may sign the online guest register at www.allenfh.com .
