Services for Jonathan Walters Hampton, 74, of Thomasville are 11 AM, Monday, September 19, 2011 at Allen & Allen Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Charles Blair and Rev. Sammy Dixon will officiate and interment will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Mr. Hampton passed away September 17, 2011 at his residence. Born September 24, 1936 in New York City, New York he was the son of the late Jonathan Walters and Eleanor Dossett Hampton. He married Wilma Frances Leach Hampton on December 3, 1966 in Daytona, Ohio who survives. Mr. Hampton was retired from the United States Army and also from hospital housekeeping. Survivors include daughters Teresa Lynn Fenner and husband Raymond of Thomasville, Jenny Lee Batarick and husband David of Deltona, Fl; a son David Hamm and wife Carol of Center Valley, PA; grandchildren Ryan Fenner, Jacob Fenner, Crystal Fenner, Amber Fenner, Nicole Batarick, David Batarick, Jr, Jeremiah Batarick, Nathaniel Batarick, Kriesty Hamm, Kyle Hamm, Chelsea Hamm and David Hamm, Jr; great grandchildren Braiden Fenner, Kaison Hall, Emma Lei Hall; and a brother Russell Hampton of Allentown PA.
