Joseph Graham Grant

Services for Joseph Graham (Joie) Grant will be held on Friday, September 6th, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Allen & Allen Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Gary Brady will officiate the service and interment will be at Laurel Hill Cemetery. Born on November 16th, 1943 in Tallahassee, FL, he was the son of the late N.B. Grant and late Merlin Hardy Grant. On July 14th, 1962, he married the love of his life, Florence Rogers Grant. He worked at Timberlake Grocery and Southwestern State Hospital. Joie was a diehard Thomasville Bulldog fan, and he was always spotted wearing Red & Gold. Joie enjoyed fishing and hunting and being outdoors. He loved animals and fed all the animals that came to visit his door. Joie was known for helping anyone who called on him. He loved his family and friends, and he will be deeply missed by them. Joie was a warrior, and he fought hard to overcome his illness. He his survived by his wife, Florence Rogers Grant; children, Cynthia Kimberlyn Grant of Tallahassee, FL, Crista Grant Reese (Scott) of Tallahassee, FL; grandchildren, Emily Ashlyn Reese, Brenyn Lanier Reese, Raynor Graham Benedict; sister, Donna Grant Carney (Ron) of Thomasville, GA. He is preceded in death by his brothers, Roy Grant, Earl Grant, and Charles Grant.
