Joseph (Joe) R. Bonner Sr.

Funeral services for Joseph R. (Joe) Bonner, Sr., 86, of Thomasville will be held 10:00AM, Tuesday, June 27, 2017 at Allen & Allen Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. David Cook will officiate and interment will be in Laurel Hill Cemetery. Mr. Bonner passed away on June 24, 2017 at his residence. Born December 29, 1930 in Grady County, he was the son of the late Henry Benjamin Bonner and Foster Stephenson Bonner. He was married to Hazle Brock Bonner for 65 years, who survives. Mr. Bonner was an insurance agent at Life of Georgia Insurance Company. He was a member of Dawson Street Baptist Church. In his free time he enjoyed working in his yard. Survivors include son, J.R. (Joey) Bonner and wife Rhonda of Cairo; daughter, Pamela Parker and husband Woodrow of Ochlocknee; grandchildren, Debbie Joe Carroway and husband Winston, Chuck Bonner and wife Cyrene, Victoria Trussell and husband Jared, Lori Parker, Brock Bonner and wife Lauren, and Jessica Bonner; 6 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by son, Randy Bonner; brothers, Lester Bonner, Grady Bonner and Glenn Bonner; sisters, Margaret Coats, Gwen Stanaland, Jean Bonner and Mildred Booth; and grandson William Christopher Bonner. The family will receive friends on Monday, June 26, 2017 from 5:00PM – 7:00PM at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be sent to Dawson Street Baptist Church Building Fund, 1025 N.
