Memorial services for Joseph Claude Slater, 53 of Metcalfe, will be held at 2:00PM, Saturday, August 13, 2016 at Allen & Allen Funeral Home Chapel. Mr. Slater passed away on August 10, 2016 at his residence. Born July 6, 1963 in Thomasville, he was the son of the late Willie Slater and Irene Claudia Slater. He was married to Glenda Rouse Slater, who survives.He loved the outdoors, woodworking and being a good father. Other survivors include sons Matt Slater of Metcalfe, and Chance Slater of Thomasville. He was preceded in death by son, Cody Glen Slater.
