A memorial service for Mr. Joseph Tye will be held on Saturday, October 15, 2016 at 10:30AM, at the Christian Crusade Church in Moultrie, Georgia. Joseph Keeton Tye, 74, of Pavo passed away on October 3, 2016 at Pruitt Health Holly Hill in Valdosta. Born April 23, 1942 in Irving, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Arlene Burton Tye and Bonnie Eugene Tye. On August 23, 1963 in Key West Florida, Mr. Tye married Joyce Ann Wallace Tye, who survives. They were married for 53 years before his passing. Mr. Tye was a fabrication welder and created airboats for different climates of the world. He also was an inventor, mechanic, created custom three wheelers and was a song and music writer. Mr. Tye was a member of the Pavo Civic Club since 2006, Orlando Country Music Association, VFW, Music Ministry, Sanford Jail Ministry since 2004, member of the MADD and was Santa Claus in Pavo for the past 10 years. Survivors include daughters Becky Jo Reyes and husband Phil, Sallie Ann Burgess and husband Jerome, Joey Kae Dean and husband Ricky all of Pavo, granddaughter Kristin Dannielle Martinez and husband Bleey of San Marcos, Texas; eight grandchildren, four great grandchildren; brothers William Dale Tye and wife Nancy of Covington, Kentucky, Roger Wayne Tye of Latonia Lakes, Kentucky, Bonnie Ray Tye and partner Cindy; and sister Theresa Shell and husband James of Florence, Kentucky; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews in Florida and Kentucky.
