Joseph Vernon Harris

Services for Joseph "Joey" Vernon Harris, 54, of Thomasville are 11:00 am, Friday, April 8, 2011 at Dawson Street Baptist Church where he was a member. The Rev. Lee Waller and Rev. Tanner Turley will officiate and interment will be in Laurel Hill Cemetery. Mr. Harris passed away April 5, 2011 at his residence. Born June 18, 1956 in Thomasville he was the son of the late John Walter Harris and Mary Clark Harris who survives of Thomasville. On September 9, 1978 in Swainsboro he married Beverly Riner Harris who survives. Mr. Harris was the owner of Synergy Construction Company and was a member of Kiwanis Club of Thomasville. Other survivors include daughters, Kimberly Nix and husband Kealon of Thomasville and Marsha Turley and husband Tanner of Medford MA; sister, Laverne Dillard and husband Bruce of Thomasville; brother, Gordie Morris Harris and wife Vicki of Tallahassee; mother-in-law, Imogene Riner of Swainsboro; sister-in-law, Judy Butler and brother-in-law, Richard Riner both of Statesboro and numerous nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Redemption Hill Church, P.O. Box 482, Medford, MA 02155.
