Funeral service for Joseph Franklin Williams, 83, of Ochlocknee will be at 11:00AM, Saturday, November 01, 2014 at Ochlocknee Baptist Church. Rev. Dennis Norman will officiate and interment will be at Midway Church Cemetery. Mr. Williams passed away on October 29, 2014 at his residence. Born October 01, 1931 in Dixie, GA, he was the son of the late Paul and Mary Coffee Williams. Mr. Williams was a member of Ochlocknee Baptist Church, where he served as Deacon and Sunday School Superintendent. He drove a gas truck for Chastain-Clark Plantation Petroleum and Amerigas for thirty years. Mr. Williams was also a veteran of the National Guard. On February 26, 1955, he married Vera H. Williams, who survives. Other survivors include nephews Andy Martin, Jack Redfearn, John Williams, Bruce Hayes and Mark Hayes; nieces Sylvia Williams, Debra Bufford, Barbara Anderson, Cindy Burnette, Debby Hayes, and Kim Hammond; brother-in-law Charles Hayes; sisters-in-law Carol K. Hayes, Carol J. Hayes, Josie Williams and numerous great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by brothers Jack Williams and Jimmy Williams; sister Marjorie Williams; niece Kay Demotte; nephew Gary Hayes and brother-in-law Herbert Hayes. The family will receive friends on Friday, October 31, 2014 from 6:00PM until 8:00PM at the funeral home. Guests may sign the online register at
