Services for Mary Josephine Clayton Aycock, 89, of Coolidge will be Monday October 27, 2014 at 11:00 AM at Big Ochlocknee Baptist Church, where she was a member. Rev. Harold Pullen and Rev. Ralph Fudge will officiate and interment will follow at Big Ochlocknee Baptist Church Cemetery. Mrs. Aycock died Saturday, October 25, 2014 in Thomasville. Born July 29, 1925, in Colquitt Co., she was the daughter of the late John Randolph and Lela Carlton Clayton. She was married for 56 years to the late Henry Milton Aycock. Mrs. Aycock was very active in her church. She was also a telegraph operator for Western Union during World War II and also worked as a substitute teacher. Survivors include a son and daughter in law, Johnny and Ann Aycock, daughter and son in law, Patricia and Ken Smith, 3 grandsons, 6 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandsons, a sister Myra Hall and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by 2 children, 1 great great granddaughter, a sister, Ruby Wells, a brother Buddy Clayton and a sister in law Nadine West. The family will receive friends one hour before the service from 10 till 11 on Monday morning.
