Services for Josephine Smallwood of Thomasville are Monday at 2:00p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Thomasville. The Rev. Dr. Milton C. Gardner and Rev. Dr. Dan Spencer will officiate with interment at Laurel Hill cemetery. Born July 13, 1908 in Thomasville she was the daughter of the late Arthur T. Chastain and Aileen Wade Chastain. On July 22, 1977 she married Homer Smallwood who survives. Mrs. Smallwood was an artist and operated the photoshop at McCloud?s Art Gallery. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Thomasville and a member of Eastern Star. Other survivors include sister Evelyn Chastain Bellamy of Thomasville and brother Dr. Philip Chastain of Miami, Fl. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the First Baptist Church of Thomasville or to the Hospice of Southwest Georgia 818 Gordon Ave. Thomasville, GA 31792.
