Joyce T Greene

Joyce Taylor Greene, 85 of Thomasville GA., passed away on January 15, 2021. Mrs. Greene was born on May 11, 1935 in Moultrie Ga to the late Chester Taylor, Sr. and Madelyn Blackie Taylor. She married the late Harry Delano Greene on December 21, 1952. She worked as a loan clerk with Commercial Bank in Thomasville, before she retired. She was a member of the Baptist faith and enjoyed reading, gardening, and collecting teddy bears and quilts. She is survived by her children, Rick D. Greene of Mint Hill, NC., and H. Dale Greene of Thomasville, Ga.; grandchildren, Dustin Greene and Dale Greene, Jr.; great grandchildren, Rebekah Greene and Emily Greene; siblings, Katrina Weeks of Norman Park, Ga., Brenda Matthews of Sylvester, Ga., Jean Barton of Hopkinsville, Ky., Jack Taylor of Covington, Ga., and Karen Thompson of East Point, Ga. She is preceded in death by her sister Elizabeth Welch and her brothers Chester Taylor Jr., and Kenneth Taylor. A private graveside service was held at Laurel Hill Cemetery on January 19, 2021.
