Juanita Jordan Burns

Services for Juanita Jordan Burns, 86 of Thomasville will be held 3:00 pm, Friday, August 28, 2015 at Parkway Church of God. Her grandsons, Pastor Edward Sherrod and Pastor Jason Burns will officiate along with Rev. Gerald Horne and interment will follow at Laurel Hill Cemetery. Ms. Burns passed away August 25, 2015 at her residence. Born January 18, 1929 in Colquitt County, she was the daughter of the late John Jordan and Jewell Johnson Jordan. She was married to Jack Burns who preceded her in death. She was a charter member of Parkway Church of God and was a current member of Christian Fellowship Church of God. She is survived by son, Robert Allen (Buddy) Burns, Sr of Thomasville, Georgia; daughter, Cathy Burns Sherrod of Pavo, Georgia; great-grandson, Brandon Alexander Burns; Brothers, Joseph L. Jordan of Pavo, Georgia and Eulis Jordan of Lee, Florida; sister, Tiny Blackburn of Moultrie, Georgia; several grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by brothers and sisters, Walter S. Jordan, Willie Jordan, Pauline Phillips, Viola Sterling and Eula Jordan. The family will receive friends 5-7 pm, Thursday, August 27, 2015 at Allen & Allen Funeral Home.
