Services for Judith Christine Johnson Walter of Thomasville will be held Monday, Febuary 24, 2003 at the First United Methodist Church at 4:00PM. Rev. Leigh Ann Raynor, Rev. Bob Dixon and Rev. David Grantham will officiate and interment will follow the service in Laurel Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Walter died Feb. 20, 2003 at her residence. Born Feb. 13, 1940 in Cuthbert, GA., she was the daughter of the late J. R. Johnson and Eloise Peel Johnson who survives in Coleman, GA. She was married to Hawley D. Walter who preceded her in death. Mrs. Walter was a member of the First United Methodist Church. She was a teacher at Thomas County Central High School for 18 years where she was an advisor for the Y Club and Science Club. She was a graduate of Tift College, University of Georgia and received her masters from Georgia Southwestern. Other survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Joseph & Beverly Walter of Zebulon, GA., daughter, Susan Walter of Thomasville; sister & brother-in-law, Margaret & Richard Cofer of Alexandria, VA. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, Inc., P.O. Box 1201, Albany, GA 31702 or to the First United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 975, Thomasville, GA., 31799.
