Judith Carroll Taylor

Services for Judith Diane Carroll Taylor, 72 of Thomasville will be held at 3:00 pm, Wednesday, February 8, 2017 at Allen & Allen Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Mitch Clements will officiate. Pallbearers will be Phillip Taylor, Michael Taylor, Jonathan Crawford and David Plymale. Mrs. Taylor passed away February 4, 2017 at Archbold Hospital. Born August 10, 1944 in Quincy, Florida, she is the daughter of the late John Carroll and Miriam Russell Knight, who survives. In January of 1970 in Quincy, Florida she married Cecil Melvin Taylor, who survives. Mrs. Taylor was a graduate of Florida State University with a bachelors degree in science. She retired from Archbold Hospital as a nurse and was a member of Summerhill Baptist Church. She was an avid reader, a fan of the Atlanta Braves, a fan of FSU regional sports and of high school football. She is also survived by her children, Charles Michael Taylor of Naples, Florida, Melissa Marie Taylor of Thomasville and Phillip Eugene Taylor and wife Abbie of Cincinnati, Ohio; sisters, Gene Barron and husband Les of Payton, Colorado and Elaine Smith and husband Jeff of Jacksonville, Florida and brother, John (Rusty) Carroll, of Dorchester, South Carolina. She is also preceded in death by her step-father, Franklin Knight. The family will receive friends 5-7pm, Tuesday, February 7, 2017 at the funeral home.
