Funeral services for Judy Gail Rogers Davis will be held at 11 AM on Wednesday, June 12, 2019, in the First Baptist Church Sanctuary with Dr. Jimmy Clanton officiating. Interment for immediate family will be held at Laurel Hill Cemetery. Ms. Davis passed away on Saturday, June 8, 2019, at her residence. Born on January 24, 1953 in Thomasville, she was the daughter of the late Wiley Eugene Rogers and Mildred Hogan Rogers. She recently retired as a Senior Account Executive with J. Smith Lanier Insurance after 33 years in the business. She was very active in the community as she was a member and past President of the Thomasville Kiwanis Club, past President of the Thomasville Association of Life Underwriters, past board member of the Thomasville-Thomas County Humane Society, past board member of the local American Red Cross, Field Secretary of the Georgia-Florida Field Trial Club and was a committee member of the Plantation Wildlife Festival with over 20 years of volunteer service. She was passionate about her care package military ministry and awarded the Community Service Award by the National Society of Colonial Dames for her dedication. She was also a proud member of the local Twisted Sisters Club. She is survived by her daughters Brandy Kirkham (Gates), Kelly Chastain (Clint), and Wendy Jacobs (Jason) all of Thomasville; grandchildren Lexi Kirkham, Avery Kirkham, Jesse Chastain, Cooper Chastain, Rhett Jacobs; brothers Dannie Rogers (Debra) of Thomasville and Winton Barnes of Valdosta; sisters Jackie Rogers of Boone, North Carolina and Suzette Monroe (Stan) of Waukeenah, Florida; life-long best friend Glenda Adams of Thomasville; nieces and nephews Chad and Norwood Rogers, Vanessa Lawrence, Lydia White, Amanda Monroe, Stanton Monroe and Wink Barnes. She was preceded in death by her brother Gene Rogers. Her family will greet friends at the funeral home on Tuesday evening from 5-7 PM. In lieu of flowers, her family ask that donations be made to the Support Disabled American Veterans (dav.org), Thomasville Kiwanis Club Scholarship Fund or the local humane society.
