Services for Julia Belle Kilpatrick Moore, 96, of Thomasville, are at 11 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 27, 2010 at First Baptist Church in the Chapel. The Rev. Dr. Milton C. Gardner, Rev. Dan Spencer and Rev. Dr. Tom Jacobs will officiate and interment is in Laurel Hill Cemetery. The Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Mrs. Moore passed away Feb. 25 at Camellia Gardens. Born, Sept. 20, 1913, in Lynchburg, S.C., she was the daughter of the late Thomas James and Viola Kilpatrick. She was married to Sidney C. Moore who preceded her in death on Oct. 8, 1992. Mrs. Moore began her working career by teaching shorthand and typing to young female students. During World War II she worked in a bomb manufacturing plant. She was a previous manager for Sears baby department store in Durham, N.C. and manager of Learner Shop in Orlando, Fla. She was the Secretary and Bookkeeper of Moore Painting Company. Though many of her hours were spent working she still had time to love and support her children and grandchildren. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Joy Sunday school class and the Young at Heart Choir. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Sidney C. Moore, Jr. and wife, Trina of Alpharetta; daughters and sons-in-law, Margie and Rick Jordan of Thomasville and Patricia and Paul Dickinson of Hickory, N.C.; grandchildren, Sidney C. Moore, III, Tracy Wegener and husband, Paul, Ashley Costello and husband David, Paul Dickinson, Jr. and wife, Ada, Dan Dickinson and wife, Lisa, Richard Kyle Jordan and Kevin Jordan and wife, Amanda; 12 great-grandchildren; sister, Annie Laura Clark of Pineville, S.C. The family will receive friends the hour before the service at First Baptist Church in the Chapel. Visitors may sign the online guest register at www.allenfh.com .
