Julian Morris Savelle

Services for Julian Morris Savelle, 84, of Chula, Ga are 11 AM, Thursday, June 5, 2008 at Ochlocknee Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon. The Rev. David Smith and Rev. Dennis Norman will officiate and interment will be in Ochlocknee City Cemetery. Mr. Savelle died June 2, 2008 at Tift Regional Medical Center in Tifton. Born August 10, 1923 in Terrell Co, he was the son of the late Jesse Aberfoil Savelle and Elizabeth Rozella Culpepper Savelle. On April 7, 1956 he married Elizabeth Wilkes Savelle, who survives. He was a WWII Army Veteran, a member of the American Legion, a farmer, and retired from the United States Postal Service in Ochlocknee after 28 years of civil service. Survivors include son & daughter-in-law, Tim & Amy Savelle of Watkinsville, daughter & son-in-law, Deena & David Hood of Chula, grandchildren, Heather, Anna & Patrick Savelle of Watkinsville, Tyler, Katelyn & Kelsey Hood of Chula, one brother, Jesse Savelle of Boise, Id. and several nieces and nephews.
