Thomasville, GA

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Julie Busbee Bryan, a beloved member of the Thomasville community, unexpectedly passed away on December 23, 2025, at the age of 77. Julie was born on November 26, 1948, to the late Fred Wallace Busbee Sr. and Frances Jewel Busbee, in Thomasville, Georgia.

Julie graduated from the University of Georgia with a degree in special education, beginning her career as a dedicated special education teacher. She later worked in her family business at Walden's Flower Shop, where her creativity and love for beauty flourished. However, it was in real estate that Julie truly made her mark. In 1999, alongside her loving husband Sam Bryan, she founded Remax of Thomasville. Through hard work, passion and an exceptional commitment to her clients and community, the company grew into a market leader. In 2014, it was rebranded into an independent brokerage of KeySouth Real Estate Group.

Julie was not only a successful businesswoman but also a mentor who poured her heart into training agents, ensuring they were the best prepared in the industry. Julie was an active member of First Baptist Church in Thomasville, where her warm spirit touched the lives of countless individuals. Her graciousness, generosity, and unwavering commitment to her profession left an indelible mark on those fortunate enough to know her. She was a bright light in the lives of her family, friends, clients, and colleagues, and her spirit will be missed dearly by all.Survivors include her husband Sam Bryan; children Lisa Taylor (Russ) of Thomasville and Jay Lattay (Maurey) of Thomasville; grandchildren Macy Taylor, Tripp Taylor, Mia Taylor, Caroline Lattay, J.B. Lattay, and Riley Beggs; siblings Fred Busbee (Becky) of Thomasville and Alfred Busbee (Leah) of Ponte Vedra, Fl; step-mother Sonia Busbee of Thomasville and closest friend Renae Woodard of Thomasville.

A service will be held on Tuesday, December 30, 2025, at 11 am at First Baptist Church Sanctuary with Pastor Paul Ballard and Pastor Brent Welch officiating. The family will receive friends on Monday, December 29, 2025 from 5-7 pm at Allen & Allen Funeral Home.

As we come together to remember and honor Julie, we find solace in the legacy of love, compassion, and inspiration that she leaves behind. She touched countless lives, and her spirit will forever remain in our hearts.

For those who wish, wear a “pop” of red at the service, her favorite color she wore often, the color of Thomasville’s roses and the primary color of KeySouth Real Estate Group.

In lieu of flowers the family request donations be sent to Thomasville Center for the Arts or Hands and Hearts for Horses…
