Karolyn Benton Murphy

Graveside services for Karolyn Benton Murphy, 83 of Thomasville will be held at 11:00 am, Friday, June 4, 2021 at Big Creek Cemetery. Rev. Mitch Clements will officiate. Mrs. Murphy passed away June 1st at Archbold Hospital. Born March 25, 1938 in Norman Park, she was the daughter of the late Felton Benton and Jessie Hall Benton. She was married to Charles Jerry Murphy, who survives. She was a program assistant at Southwestern State Hospital and was a member of Gatlin Creek Baptist Church. She is also survived by her children, Ken Murphy (Andy) of Atlanta, Denise Griffin (Kevin) of Crawfordville, Fl., David L. Murphy (Tammie) of Panama City, Fl., and Scott Murphy of Houston, TX; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sisters, Linda Willis of Boston, Karla Barnes and Joyce Blackwell both of Thomasville. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Bobby Sangster; daughter, Sherry Wilson and 2 brothers. The family will receive friends 6-8 pm, Thursday, June 3, 2021 at Allen & Allen Funeral Home.
