Kate Spooner

Graveside services for Kate O’Neal Spooner, 85 of Thomasville will be held at 3:00 pm, Sunday, October 4, 2020 at Laurel Hill Cemetery. Rev. Whit Byram will officiate. Mrs. Spooner passed away October 1, 2020 at her residence. Born July 9, 1935 in Coolidge, she was the daughter of the late Pete O’Neal and Molly Jane Aycock O’Neal. On September 19, 1959 in Thomasville, she married Ronald Spooner, who survives. She was a graduate of Coolidge High School and Moultrie Business School. She worked as a bank teller for Bank of Thomas County and a bookkeeper and pay clerk for City of Thomasville. She was of the Methodist Faith and enjoyed cooking, gardening and sewing. She is survived by her husband; daughter, Theresa Rambo and husband Wayne of Valdosta; grand-daughters, Madison Rambo and Laura-Paige Rambo; sisters-in-law, Margie Pearson of Moultrie, Delores Anderson of Thomasville and numerous nieces and nephews. She was the youngest of 10 children and is preceded in death by her brother and 8 sisters.
