Kathi Owens Barnes

Graveside services for Kathi Owens Barnes, 56, of Boston will be held at 3:00PM, Wednesday April 1, 2015 at Lebanon Cemetery. Rev. David During will officiate. She passed away on March 29, 2015. Born December 14, 1958 in Pavo, she was the daughter of the late Clarence C. Owens and June Hunt Owens. Mrs. Barnes was married on February 04, 1977 to Richard J. Barnes, who survives. She was a member of Olive Baptist Church in Monticello, FL, where she was choir director for several years and service on numerous committees. Mrs.Barnes worked at Lewis Hall Singletary Oncology Center as the patient accounts counselor for 28 years. Other survivors include two daughters Danyelle Nicole Barnes and Tara Lynn Barnes; one son Patrick Alexander Barnes; two brothers David C. Owens of Thomasville and Rev. Darrell Owens (Colleen) of Moultrie, brothers-in-law Edward Barnes (Betty), Thomas Barnes (Luann), David Barnes; sisters-in-law Helen Brogdon (Bubba), Susan Sherrod (Dwight), Phyllis Young (Rodney) and Becky McDonald (Robyn) and mother-in-law Vonice Raulerson Barnes of Boston, GA. She was preceded in death by one son Corey Alexander Barnes; one sister Patricia Bowers and father-in-law Joseph Edward Barnes. The family will receive friends Tuesday, March 31, 2015 at 6:00PM until 8:00PM at Allen & Allen Funeral Home Chapel. Memorials may be made to Lewis Hall Singletary Oncology Center, 919 S.
