Graveside Service for Kathron Johnson Speigner Baker will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 22, 2022, at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be on Thursday from 5-7 p.m. at Allen & Allen Celebration of Life Chapel. Casual attire is welcomed. Mrs. Kathron passed away on July, 18, 2022, at her home surrounded by her family. She was born in Metcalfe, Georgia on September 20, 1936, daughter to the late Marion Leonard Johnson Sr. and Berleen Miller Johnson. She attended Thomasville High School and went on to retire from Southwestern State Hospital where she was an OT/PT assistant. She was a member of First Newark Baptist Church. Kathron enjoyed the outdoors, working in her yard, playing guitar and singing, but especially loved her family, church family, and God. Survivors include her children Jimmy L. (Bettysue) Speigner Sr., Sharon Speigner Browning (Bo Herndon), Lynn Speigner (Todd) Fulgham; son-in-law Larry Barnes; grandchildren Thomas Speigner, Levale Speigner, Erik Speigner, Bert Browning, Sandy Long, Mandy Fletcher, Kathron “Lainie” Rehberg, and Crystal Davis; 14 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren; brother Johnnie Ray (Vickie) Johnson; sisters-in-law Elizabeth Johnson, Dorothy Logan, and Becky Page. She was preceded in death by her parents Marion Leonard Johnson Sr and Berleen Miller Johnson, husbands O.K. Speigner and Raymond L Baker, daughter Dale Speigner Wright Barnes, and brother M. Leonard “O’Sir” Johnson Jr. Honorary pallbearers are Thomas Speigner, Bert Browning, Levale Speigner, Erik Speigner, Tony Fletcher, and Cody Rehberg. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to First Newark Baptist Church, 225 Russell Rd, Thomasville, GA 31757.
