Kathryn Brown Mitchell

Graveside services for Kathryn Ann Brown Mitchell will be Tuesday, May 2, at 2:00 PM in Laurel Hill Cemetery on Tennessee Street. Rev. Michael Hearrell will officiate. Mrs. Mitchell died on April 29th at the Presbyterian Home in Quitman, Ga. The daughter of the late Homer T. and Evelyn Bunting Brown, she was born on January 24, 1934 in Madison Co., Fl. On September 1, 1952 in Dixie, Ga. she married S. Alvin Mitchell, who survives. She was a homemaker and a member of Temple Baptist Church. Other survivors include daughters, Kaye Scoggins of Thomasville and Janet Mitchell Schneiderman of Dunwoody, Ga; 2 sons Al and Victor Mitchell of Thomasville; eight grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Also surviving are a sister Evelyn Louise Collins of Atlanta; 4 brothers, Homer T. Brown, Jr. of Cairo, Bill Brown of Lakeland, Ga., Jim Brown of Hahira, Ga. and Sam A.Brown of Thomasville, Ga.
