Graveside services for Katie Louise Craven of Thomasville are at 2:00PM on Friday, December 3, 2004 at Big Creek Cemetery. The Rev. Mack Luke will officiate. Mrs. Craven died November 30, 2004 at her residence. Born August 26, 1938 in Red Level, Alabama she was the daughter of the late James Elbert and Katie Margaret Fowler Austin. She was the loving mother of eight children, daughters and sons-in-law, Brenda and Robert Lambert of Fayetteville, Ark., Carol and Bob Brettel of Thomasville, Marty and Jerry Creel of Coolidge, Machelle and Danny Luke of Thomasville, sons and daughters-in-law, Rick and Lindi Craven of Dothan, Alabama, Eddie Craven and Danny Riggs, sons, David Craven and Derek Craven all of Thomasville, 14 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and sister, Jean Stanland Myers and husband, Julius Myers. A sister, Ruby Nutt and brothers, Howard Austin and Hugh Austin, preceded her in death. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7-9PM on Thursday.
