Funeral services for Katie Owens Pafford, 101, of Boston will be at 2:00 PM Tuesday, November 15, 2011 at Salem Baptist Church. Rev. Sherman Hall, Rev. Marshall Dixon and Rev. Dr. Milton C. Gardner will officiate and internment will be in Salem Cemetery. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Mrs. Pafford died on November 11, 2011 in Thomasville. Born December 30, 1909 in Turner Co., GA, Mrs. Pafford was the daughter of the late William Joshua and Mary Ann Thomas Owens. She was married to the late William A. Pafford. Mrs. Pafford was a homemaker and the oldest member of Salem Baptist Church. She founded the Past Time Quilters. She is survived by daughters, Martha Clark of Dixie, GA., Tommie Vick of Boston, GA ; a son and daughter in law, Pete and Doris Owens of Thomasville; a daughter in law, Ann Womble of Thomasville and a son in law, Charles Williams of Monticello. Also surviving are 30 grandchildren, 73 great grandchildren, 53 great great grandchildren and 4 great great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by sons, Walter, Austin, and Bobby Pafford and infant son; daughters Margaret Vonier, Mary Frances Williams, Betty McKibben, and Carey Pafford. Also preceding her in death are brothers, Jim Owens, Buck Owens, Bill Owens, Richard Owens; sisters, Nancy Ann Pate and Addie Mae Kerce. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 on Monday at Allen & Allen Funeral Home Chapel.
