Funeral services for Catherine (Kitty) Long Blow, 89 of Thomasville will be held at 11:00AM, Friday, August 7, 2015 at Dawson Street Baptist Church. Rev. Lee Waller will officiate and interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Kitty went home to be with her Lord on August 5, 2015 at Archbold Hospital. Born February 11, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Roy Alfred Long and Jessie Mae Golden Long. She was married to Herbert Hampton Blow who preceded her in death in 2010. Mrs. Blow was a member of Dawson Street Baptist Church for over 60 years where she taught Sunday school, she was active in the WMU and was a founding member of the quilting group. She was a dynamic Christian lady who brought her family up in church and raised them with Christian values. She also enjoyed bowling, fishing and was an avid Atlanta Braves fan. She is survived by her children, Stanley H. & Kathie Blow of Douglas, Marilyn D. Huffman and Gary Reynolds of Homosassa, Florida, Barry Blow and his good friend Melanie Bauer of Thomasville, Jennifer and Keith King of Mississauga, Ontario, step daughter Jean & Carroll Cassada of Deland, Florida; grandchildren Michael Cox, Russell Cox, James Andrew Cox, Curtis Blow, Jean Luc Yarrito, Nicole King, Brian Whiddon, Paul Whiddon, Darlene Moore, many great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by granddaughter, Lisa Tedder. The family will receive friends 5-7 pm, Thursday, August 6 at Allen & Allen Funeral Home.
