Services for Lanell Mobley Edwards, 74 of Coolidge will be held at 2:00 pm, Friday, August 2, 2013 at Allen & Allen Funeral Home Chapel. Brother David Pickering will officiate and interment will follow in Macedonia Church Cemetery in Spence, Ga. Pallbearers are Russell Phillips, B.J. Phillips, Caleb Phillips, Curtis Edwards, Kent Edwards, Lennon Jamison, Chip McNichols and Randy Edwards. Mrs. Edwards passed away July 28, 2013 at Pheobe Putney Hospital. Born January 31, 1939 in Pelham, she was the daughter of the late Henry Franklin Mobley and Emma Lorene Bynum Mobley. She was married to Charles Lester C.L. Edwards who preceded her in death. She was owner of the Chicken Hut Café in Meigs, she enjoyed cooking, working in her yard and was very sociable and enjoyed being around people. She is survived by her children, Benita Phillips and husband Eddie of Coolidge, Timmy Carl Edwards and wife Linda of Pelham, Tammie Swanson and husband Dewayne of Phenix City, Ala; grandchildren, Melissa Jamison, Russell Phillips, B.J. Phillips, Curtis Edwards, Kent Edwards, Courtney Edwards, Elizabeth Brooks, Johnny Collins, Christopher Edwards, Chip McNichols and Brian McNichols; brother, Winford Mobley of Cairo; sister, Lois Lodge of Vada, Ga and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by son, Tommy Charles Edwards; brother, Danny Mobley and sister, Ava Mathis.
