Lauren Nicole Herndon
Services for Lauren Nicole Herndon, 21, of Pavo, are at 11 a.m., Tuesday, December 16, 2008 at Salem Baptist Church. The Rev. Marshall Dixon and Rev. Jim Hobby will officiate and interment is in Roselawn Cemetery in Barwick. Ms. Herndon died Dec. 13. Born May 22, 1987, in Thomasville, she was the daughter of Mark Kinney Herndon and Pamela Freeman Tucker, who survive. She was a 2005 graduate of TCCHS and was a former member of the Thomasville Music and Drama Troupe. She was a senior at Georgia Southern University where she was majoring in International Trade with a minor in Spanish. She was an International Outreach council member for Baptist Collegiate Ministries and had been a Christian youth camp counselor. Survivors include parents, Pamela and Alan Tucker of Dixie and Mark and Jill Herndon of Pavo; brother, Bart Herndon and wife, Jade of Moultrie; sisters, Erin Hall, Kelsey Hall both of Pavo and Ashley Tucker of Panama City, Fla.; nieces, Neya Herndon and Kinley Herndon; grandparents, Drucilla Freeman of Barwick, Gerald and Peggy Herndon of Valdosta, Alvis and Patty Tucker of Parrish, Fla. and Ronald and Evelyn Vonier of Pavo; fiancé, Robert Clint Griffin; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by a grandfather, Joe Freeman; and grandmother, Ruth Herndon. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home chapel.
