L.D. Cone

Services for L.D. Cone, 83, of Boston will be held at 2 pm, Friday, February 10 at Allen & Allen Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Mike DiPietro will officiate and interment will be in Laurel Hill Cemetery. Mr. Cone passed away Tuesday, February 7 at his residence. Born Oct 8, 1928 in Pavo, he was the son of the late Obadiah "Obie" Cone and Vashti May Cone. He was married to Nokomis Page Cone for 60 years who survives. Other survivors include sons, Lynwood Cone and wife Cheryl of Thomasville, Danny Cone and wife Martha of Boston and Glynn Cone and wife Esther of Jacksonville, NC; grandchildren, Travis Cone, Michael Harper, Stephen Harper, Brandi Harper, Brandon Cone, Nicholas Cone, Teddy Cone, Jerry Cone, Mary Ann Barfield, Robert Barfield; sisters, Billie Parker and husband Lindsay of Boston, Bobbie Brock of Thomasville. Mr. Cone was preceded in death by brothers and sisters, John Cone, Shelby Cone, Ethel Cone, Carlene Cone and Dorothy Suggs. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm, Thursday at the funeral home.
