Lee Albert Strickland

Services for Lee Albert Strickland of Thomasville are at 2:00PM on Wednesday, April 6, 2005 at Hebron Fellowship Church where he was a member. The Rev. Thomas Jones will officiate. Mr. Strickland died April 3, 2005 at his residence. Born January 3, 1920 in Pensacola, Fl., he was the son of Henry Lee and Mary Frances Cross Strickland. On November 17, 1950 in Miami, Fl. he married Iris Hillebrand Strickland a retired nurse at Archbold Memorial Hospital. They were married for 54 years. He was a Captain in the Signal Corp serving during WWII and the Korean War. He fought in Gorilla Warfare in the Philippians during WWII. Mr. Strickland was an accountant. Other survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Ruth Strickland, daughter and son-in-law, Susan and David Fletcher all of Thomasville, son and daughter-in-law, David and Kristen Strickland of Tallahassee, FL, son and daughter-in-law, Scott & Tara Strickland of Dixie, GA, son, Dr. Timothy Strickland of Yandkinville, NC, fifteen grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
