Funeral services for Lela Maude Bryant Pilkinton, 96, of Thomasville will be Monday, November 4, 2013 at 3:00 PM at Allen &Allen Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Stanley Norman will officiate and internment will be in Big Ochlocknee Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Ted Palmer, Waylon Griner, Randy Bryant, Charlie Griffin, Tommy Tillman and Lamar Miller. Mrs. Pilkinton died on November 1, 2013 in Thomasville. Born November 12, 1916 in Thomas County, she was the daughter of the late T. A. and Lucy Finn Bryant. She was married to the late Thomas Alton Pilkinton. Mrs. Pilkinton was a homemaker, who enjoyed gardening, sewing, and cooking. She was of the Baptist Faith and a member of Pinegrove Baptist Church. She also enjoyed fishing with her husband at St. George Island. Survivors include a daughter Gayle P. Glisson of Thomasville; grandchildren, Stacey Davis and her husband Ryan, Melissa Pilkinton and Stan Stewart and his wife Jennifer. Also surviving are great grandchildren, Ryan Love, Elena Love and Brady Stewart. Other survivors include sisters, Opal Tillman and Dorothy Johnston and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Alton Pilkinton, her son, Kenneth Ronald Pilkinton, brothers Randolph Bryant and Thomas Bryant and sisters, Nell B. Freeman, Mary B. Trimarco, Frances B. Hicks and Margie B. Wall.
