Lelia Martin

Our beloved mother, Lelia "Phillips" Martin, completed her journey home on August 5, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. She was preceded in death by her mother, Della Edna Phillips, and father, Sam Phillips, as well as 5 sisters and 1 brother, as well as her husband and soulmate, Walter "Pete" Martin,

Lelia was born and raised in West Virginia. She relocated to Central Florida in 1975, where she lovingly raised her three daughters, Brenda Sharp (Wayne) of Leesburg, Florida, Tina Arsenault (Donny) of Boston, Georgia, and Tracy Hunter (David) of Thomasville, Georgia. Also left to cherish her memory are 7 grandchildren, Shawn, Sherry, Shawna, David, Shane, Brit, Matthew, and Michael, as well as 9 great-grandchildren, Shane Jr, Rylie, Brooklyn, Olivia, Savannah, Rhett, Hazel, Adalynn, and Travis, and a very special niece, Kathy Zurkle from Norton, West Virginia. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Her final resting place will be in West Virginia alongside her husband, Walter Martin. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in her name to Hospice of South Georgia.
