Lelia Albertina Borkenhagen McLeod (Tina), departed for her Heavenly Home on Saturday, December 8, 2018 after a long and joyful life. Nana Mac, as she was affectionately known by most of her family, was born on September 17, 1926, in Titusville, FL, to Albert J. and Leila M. Borkenhagen. After graduating from Jeff Davis High School in Hazlehurst, GA, she was joined in marriage to James O. McLeod, and from this union, came their three sons, Rick, Stann, and Keith. Living in Georgia, Florida, and a short time in Spain, she finally settled in Thomasville, GA, where she was blessed by her new church family at Thomasville First Baptist. She is survived by her sons Rick (Connie) of Columbus, GA, Stann (Kathy) of Thomasville, Ga, and Keith (Joan), of Ringgold, GA, and her two sisters, Virginia Borkenhagen, and Libby (Pete) Turner, both of Hazlehurst, GA. Her pride and joy were her six grand-children and 14 great Grand-children. She was preceded in death by both her parents, her brother, Charles Borkenhagen, and daughter-in-law, Debbie Baxley McLeod. A graveside service will be held at Hazlehurst City Cemetery, Hazlehurst, GA, December 11, at 11:00 AM. Reverend Keith McLeod of Boynton Baptist Church, Ringgold, GA, will officiate.
