Leon Quincy Jones

Services for Leon Quincy Jones, 86 of Coolidge will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday March 16, 2017 in the Allen & Allen Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Al Wilbourn will officiate and interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers are Chris Jones, Tommy Jones, Darrien Jones, Ricky Jones, Tony Eaton and Ken Kennon. Jones passed away March 13 at Archbold Hospital. Born January 29, 1931 in Thomasville, he was the son of the late Leroy and Edith Reeves Jones. Mr. Jones was a veteran of the United States Air Force. He was a member of Big Creek Baptist Church, where he was active in many activities and enjoyed comradery with other members. He worked for many years as sales manager for Faulk Chevrolet and Roy Campbell Chevrolet. He loved selling cars and fishing, but his greatest joy was his family, especially his granddaughter. He is survived by daughters, Lisa Jones and Diane Jones, both of Thomasville; granddaughter, Katherine Jones of Thomasville; sister, Ellen Eaton and husband Tony of Tifton; brothers, Dan Jones and wife Jan, Tom Jones and wife Betty Jane, Jack Jones and wife Norma Jean all of Thomasville and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Sherry Jones and brother, Gerald Jones. Donations may be made to Big Creek Baptist Church, 20627 US Hwy 319 Coolidge, Ga 31738. The family will receive friends 1-2 PM, before the service at the funeral home.
