Leon O. "L.O." Wright

Funeral services for Leon O. ?L.O.? Wright will be held at 4:00 PM on Monday, April 24, 2006, at the First Presbyterian Church in Thomasville with the Rev. Daniel Smoak and Dr. Stephen Murray officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Savannah, Ga. on Tuesday. Mr. Wright died April 21, 2006 at Archbold Memorial Hospital. Born on July 4, 1929 in Canton, Mississippi he was the son of the late Leon Ollie and Ruth Wright. He graduated from Louisiana State University with a degree in Forestry and worked for over 35 years with Union Camp Corp. as Manager of Harvesting Operations. Mr. Wright was an avid Gardner and enjoyed cultivating a wide variety of plants. He also had a strong interest in land conservation and management. While living in Savannah, he was a member of the Rotary Club and White Bluff Presbyterian Church where he was an Elder. He currently was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Thomasville. On July 25, 1968 in Brunswick, Ga., he married Francine Farrer Wright who survives. Other survivors include his daughter and son-in-law Evelyn Rose Wright and Cameron Fogle of Washington, DC, and daughter Krista Gayle Wright of Atlanta, Ga. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 4:00 to 6:00 PM at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the First Presbyterian Church at 225 E.
