LEON WILLIAM SCULLEY
Services for Leon William Sculley of Thomasville, Georgia are at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, December 26, 2005 at Allen & Allen Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Merrill Coram will officiate and interment will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Mr. Sculley died December 21, 2005 at Hospitality Care Nursing Home, where he had lived for the past 4 years. Mr. Sculley was well-known and loved by the residents and staff, who enjoyed his outgoing nature and mischievous personality. He was born on August 30, 1925 in Thomas County Georgia to Troy Shannon Sculley and Effie Sims Sculley. Mr. Sculley worked for the Megahee-Speight Company from 1947 to 1981 as a sales rep, and in 1981 he purchased their store in Monticello, Florida, and served as the President of Sculley Auto Parts, Inc., until his death. Mr. Sculley was a proud Mason, Shriner, and WWII Navy veteran. Survivors include son, Leon Keven Sculley, Monticello, Florida; daughter and son-in-law Kimberley and Russell Kvistad, Tifton, Georgia; beloved grandchildren, Shelby A. Smith and Raynor Sculley Kvistad, Tifton, Georgia; brother, James Sculley; and special friends, Barbara Henderson, who remained at his side until his death; James Yates, who became like a brother; and Marjory Pearson, the mother of his children, whom he greatly respected and admired. Mr. Sculley was an extremely outgoing person who was full of life and optimism. He will be sorely missed, not only by his children, to whom he was a proud and steadfast father, but also by his many friends and acquaintances, who mourn the loss of this fine, memorable man.
