Services for Leroy Gerald Jerry McClelland, 57, of Pavo are at 11 a.m., Monday, February 11, 2008 at St. Augustine Catholic Church. Father Jacek Szuster will officiate and interment is in Pavo Lebanon Cemetery. Mr. McClelland died Feb. 8 at Archbold Memorial Hospital. Born May 16, 1950, in Barwick, he was the son of the late Leroy and Dorothy Eleanor Wood Mercer, who survives. He was married to Elmira Castro McClelland, who also survives. He was employed with TECT formerly Textron for the past 22 years. Prior to his employment with TECT, he worked with the Brooks County Road Department and was at one time a fire fighter with the Brooks County Fire Department. Other survivors include daughters and sons-in-law, Christie and Shawn Stailey and Leigh Ann and Bill Raupach all of Valdosta; granddaughters, Cheyenne Jones and Shea Shoemaker; grandsons, Gage Stailey and William Raupach; brothers, Dempsey McClelland of South America, David McClelland of Pavo, and Danny Mercer of Boston; sister, Joyce Peterson of Thomasville; mother-in-law, Cecilia Castro of the Philippines; uncles, Wendell Wood of Marietta and Clifford McClelland of Bay Minette, Ala.; and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Sunday from 7-9 p.m. with the Rosary beginning at 7:00 p.m. Visitors may sign the online guest register at www.allenfh.com .
