Services for Lester Harold English, Jr. of Thomasville are at 11:00AM on Saturday, September 17, 2005 at Allen & Allen Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Tim Robson will officiate and interment will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers are Matthew Hunt, Cody Hunt, Steven English, Andrew Campbell, Jr. Jamie Talbot, Justin Murphy and Dale Hurst. Honorary pallbearers are Bud Perry and Kenny McDaniel. Mr. English died Sept. 14 at South Georgia Medical Center in Valdosta, GA. Born July 21, 1927 in Jacksonville, FL he was the son of the late Lester Harold English, Sr. and Myrtle Scott English. He was married to Annette Vaughn English who survives. Mr. English was a veteran of the United States Navy Seal and Coast Guard and was retired from the Civil Service working at the Post Office. He was an avid golfer, fisherman and loved being with his family. Other survivors include sons, Alan English of Monroe, NC, Stephen English of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, daughters, Dawn Talbot of Thomasville, Audrie Murphy of Ochlocknee, Beth Pakebusch of TX, Angela McDaniel of Leight Acres, FL, son, Andrew Campbell, Jr. of Ark.; thirty four grandchildren, four great grandchildren and brother, Donald English of Charleston, SC.
