Lester Bernell Bill Brinson

Graveside services for Lester Bernell Bill Brinson, 90, of Thomasville are 10:00 am, Saturday, July 25, 2009 at Laurel Hill Cemetery on Kentucky street. Chaplin Wendell Hollingsworth will officiate. Mr. Brinson died July 21, 2009 at Pinewood Nursing Home in Whigham. Born April 9, 1919 in Spence, Ga, he was the son of the late Andrew Lester Brinson and Wilma Fain Brinson. Mr. Brinson was married to Claudene Allen McCranie Brinson, who survives. He was a tile setter for Brinson Tile, was a veteran of the US Army and was a member of the American Legion VFW. Survivors include son Billy Brinson of Tallahassee, daughter & son-in-law, Roberta Tootsie & George Boyer of Tallahassee, step-son, Willie Joe McCranie, step-daughter Lavenia M. Swilley and husband Bob, and step-son Randy McCranie all of Dallas Tx; grandchildren, Sheri & Kevin Miller and Alicia & Ben Jones; great grandchild, Carson Miller; sister-in-law, Margaret Brinson of Thomasville; nephews, Courtney & Kathy Brinson of Albany and Jeff & Teri Brinson of Ochlocknee and several great nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his first wife Margaret T. Brinson in 1985, an infant son Stephen Brinson, brother William David Brinson and niece Linda Brinson. Memorial may be made to Hospice of Southwest Georgia, 818 Gordon Ave, Thomasville, Ga 31792. Family will be receiving friends 6-8 pm Friday at the funeral home.
