Lewis Andrew Garfield

Lewis Andrew Garfield, Sr., 81, of Ochlocknee, Georgia, passed away, November 8th, 2020 at Archbold Medical Center. He was born in Brooklyn, NY, December 6th, 1938 to Charles & Betty Garfield. Lewis graduated from the University of Florida with a Degree in Electrical Engineering. He retired from Florida Power & Light. Lewis was a faithful Christian, dedicated deacon and board member at Grace Pointe Church of Thomasville, GA. Lewis was highly influential in the creation of Glad Tidings Academy. Lewis also served on the Board of Directors of Halcyon Home for Battered Women in Thomasville, GA. He enjoyed working on his farm and cheering on the Florida Gators. Lewis was preceded in death by his son “Andy”, Lewis Andrew Garfield Jr. Lewis is survived by his wife Sue Vinson Garfield; son Danny Garfield; adopted daughters Brenda, Debra, & Linda; stepdaughters Kimberly Pollard, Alicia Peterson; stepson Shannon Banks; step grandsons Jordan Pollard and Joshua Pollard. Due to extenuating circumstances, details for a memorial service will be confirmed at a later date.
