Services for Lewis Gordon Platt of Coolidge, GA will be held at First Newark Baptist Church on Friday, November 9, 2018 at 2:00PM with burial at Sunset Memorial Gardens. He passed away November 5, 2018 at his residence. He was born in North Bend, WA on June 17, 1940 to the late Howard Platt and Viola Mindrum Platt. On July 2, 1962 he married the late Shirley Andrews Platt in Bradenton, FL. Mr. Platt was the former owner of Chicken DeLite. He is survived by his children: Renee Platt (Chuck) McDonald of Thomasville and Scott and Sarah Platt of Jacksonville, FL. Other survivors include: his brother, Ralph (Andre) Platt of Bradenton, FL and sister, Linda (Richard) Dozier of Tallahassee, FL; grandchildren, Dillon & Tiffany Clanton, Chase and Bryce Clanton, Seth Bennett, Madison McDonald and Nathan Heatherington. Visitation will be held Thursday, November 8, from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at Allen and Allen Funeral Home Chapel. Guests may sign the on-line register book at www.allenfh.com .
