Services for Lillian Knowles Rehberg, 79, of Thomasville, are at 3 p.m., Sunday, April 13, 2008, at Morningside Methodist Church, where she was a member. The Rev. Allen Hartsfield and Elder John Mizell will officiate and interment is in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Rehberg died April 10 at her residence. Born August 29, 1928, in Grady County, she was the daughter of the late Otha and Leila Colson Knowles. On June 7, 1949, she married C.J. Rehberg, who survives. Active pallbearers are Phil Chastain, Terry Rehberg, Steve Wall, Ralph Jones, Roddy Jones and Mark Jones. Mrs. Rehberg was a retired civil service employer of 47 years. Survivors include children, Charles Rehberg and wife, Peggy of Thomasville, Teresa Braswell and husband, Robert of Ochlocknee, Donna Brookerd and husband, Blake of Thomasville; grandchildren, Melissa Stringer, Phil Chastain, Robyn Brookerd; great-grandchildren, Ray Stringer, Lang Stringer; sisters, Maxie Jones, MattieBell Broadway, Josey Ulmer; sisters-in-law, Emma Dell Crew, Edna Wall; numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Rehberg was preceded in death by a grandson, Milton Rehberg; brothers, Jeff Knowles, John Knowles; sisters, Lucille Lamb, Mildred Duren. Memorial contributions may be made to Morningside Methodist Church, 2007 Smith Ave., Thomasville, Ga., 31792 or to Hospice of Southwest Georgia, 818 Gordon Ave., Thomasville, Ga. 31792.
