Linda Sue Burris, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, passed away peacefully on December 21, 2023, in Thomasville, Georgia, at the age of 69. Born on July 30, 1954, in Columbus, Ohio, Linda was the daughter of the late Norman and Anna Ross and was of Hungarian decent.
Linda's journey of life was marked by an unwavering dedication to her family and a keen sense of humor that brought joy to all who knew her. She began her career as a beautician at the young age of 15 and later went on to teach at a beauty school. After many years, Linda retired as a Program Administrator from the State of Florida.
Outside of her professional life, Linda was recognized for her artistic talents and love for painting. Her creativity and eye for detail were evident in her work, reflecting her elegant and well put-together nature. Additionally, Linda had a passion for cooking and delighted in preparing delicious meals for her loved ones.
Linda leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories. She is survived by her devoted husband, Richard Burris Jr., her adoring daughter, Kimmy Pent (Mike), and her grandchildren Alexis, Austin, Luke, and Mikey Pent Sr. Her great grandson, Connor Daley, brought her much joy and happiness. She is additionally survived by her Aunt Marybelle Edinger and her best friend Martha Driggers
In addition to her immediate family, Linda is also survived by her brothers Jack Ross and James L. Ross, and her nieces Lisa Griffith, Janet Ross, and James L. Ross II. She was preceded in death by her niece, Jennifer L. Ross.
In honor of Linda's life, services and ceremonies will be held at a later date.
Linda will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Let us remember her vibrant spirit, her warm heart, and the love and laughter she brought into our lives. May her soul find eternal peace and may her memories serve as a guiding light for us all.
