Linda Jo (Hinson) Cox

Funeral service for Linda Jo (Hinson) Cox will be at 2:00 pm on Saturday, December 18, 2021, at Grace Point Church (Glad Tidings Assembly) with Pastor Brent Welch officiating. Final resting place will be held at 11:00 am, Monday, December 20, 2021 at Tallahassee Memory Gardens. Linda Jo Cox, age 76, of Thomasville passed away on December 15, 2021, at Archbold Memorial Hospital. She was born in Cairo on February 7, 1945, a daughter to the late Dorothy Tipper and William Green Hinson. Linda was a member of Glad Tidings Assembly. She married Michael Henry Cox on March 25, 1972. Linda enjoyed gardening, reading, word searches, arts and craft, and supporting the Boy Scouts. She leaves behind to cherish her memory her sons Jimmy David Cox of Thomasville, Jamie Neal Cox of Tallahassee, Fl; daughter Reba Jolene Cox of Thomasville; grandchild Jamie William Cox of Thomasville; nieces Debbie Lynn McEown of Valdosta, Darcene Bower of San Antonio, TX, Peggy Rennie and Lisa Hinson; nephew Richard McEown of Valdosta; and numerous great-nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Michael Henry Cox, brother Robert Edward Hinson, and sister Dorothy Louise McEown. Visitation will be held from 4-6 pm on Friday, December 17, at Allen and Allen Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Linda's honor to the American Lung Association.
