Linda Whitley Setliff

Funeral services for Linda Whitley Setliff, 73, of Meigs, GA will be held at 10AM on Wednesday July 1, 2015 in the Chapel of Allen & Allen Funeral Home in Thomasville, GA with Rev. Nathan Fowler officiating. Interment will be in Laurel Hill Cemetery in Thomasville. Pallbearers will be Ryan Setliff, Allen Setliff, Carey Setliff, Donnie Morris, Kyle Pittman, and Michael Hamil. Mrs. Setliff died June 28, 2015 at Archbold Memorial Hospital in Thomasville. Born on May 24, 1942 in Birmingham, AL she was the daughter of the late Howard Grady Whitley Jr. and Mary Lee Camp Whitley who survives. She was a faithful and active member of Midway Baptist Church in Meigs, a member of the Thomasville Newcomers Club, and a volunteer at Southwestern State Hospital in Thomasville for several years. Most of all she was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and homemaker for 54 wonderful years. Her joy in life was cooking, sewing, crafts and caring for her family. On November 4, 1960 in Buchanan, GA she married Ivan Carroll Setliff who survives. Other survivors include her two sons and daughter-in-laws Roy and Donna Setliff of Thomasville, and Jonathan and Jody Setliff of Powder Springs, GA; five grandchildren Ashley Morris, Melissa Pittman, Alyssa Hamil, Ryan Setliff and Allen Setliff; two great grandchildren Hunter Morris and Casey Pittman; brother and sister-in-law Howard Grady and Carol Whitley III of Brookeville, MD; sister Carol Jane Whitley Roush of Grayson, GA; brother-in-law and wife Doug and Martha Setliff of Mt. Olive, AL; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Her family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday June 30, 2015 from 5-7PM.
