Linda Strickland Sloan

Linda Strickland Sloan, born on December 14, 1942, in Moultrie, GA, passed away on April 21, 2026. She was the beloved daughter of the late Steven Lester and Louise Rogers Strickland. Linda will be deeply missed by her devoted husband, Dan Sloan, whom she married in July 1960, as well as her cherished daughters, Melissa Sloan Breese (David) of Thomasville, GA, and Robin Sloan Gaston (Greg) of Thomasville, GA.

Linda was a proud grandmother to Sloan Breese of Rupert, GA, Kaitlyn Breese Swain (Austin) of Thomasville, GA, and Ryan and Grant Gaston of Thomasville, GA. She also celebrated the joy of becoming a great-grandmother to Brooks Swain. A dedicated homemaker and a long-time member of First Baptist Church, Linda's warm spirit and nurturing heart touched the lives of many.

Funeral services were held on Friday, April 24, 2026, at 11 AM at Pinecrest Cemetery, where she was laid to rest surrounded by her family.
