Lois Cone Barwick

Graveside services for Lois Cone Barwick, 92, of Boston will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, September 8, 2018 at Salem Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Steve Shierling will officiate. Mrs. Barwick passed away September 5, 2018 at Camellia Gardens. Born March 3, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Jerome Cone and Fannie Pafford Cone. She was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Hubert Barwick, Jr. She was a member of Salem Baptist Church. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother devoted in caring for her family. During her children’s growing up years, many of their friends loved to come to her house to visit and enjoy her home cooking. Ma was a gentle, kind, and humble southern lady. She is survived by her children, Hubert Barwick, III and wife Lisha, Randy Barwick and wife Dara and June Taliaferro and husband Robert all of Boston; grandchildren, Jared Carter, Luke Carter, Nick Taliaferro, Sydni Barwick and Abi Barwick; great-grandchildren, Sam Carter, Aubrey Carter and Hayes Carter and brother, Randall Cone of Thomasville and several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Mary Frances Williams; step-granddaughter Heather Taliaferro. Memorial donations may be made to The Thomas County CASA Family Enrichment Group: P.O.
